DescriptionSometimes remote key fobs get damaged, and sometimes you need spares for your family. In any of these scenarios you might think that getting a BMW replacement key fob is cumbersome. But we assure you that with BimmerTech the process is simple and smooth.
You can order from us an original BMW key fob perfectly matched to your car and have it at your doorstep in no time. The remote key fob comes pre-programmed by BMW itself for your specific model and resembles your factory remote key, having the same look and features (photo made for illustrative purposes only). It will be 100% compatible with your vehicle's ignition immobilizer code and include an original BMW embedded transponder ignition lock chip.
As standard, our keys do NOT include the internal key blade, so can be cheaper if you are replacing faulty electronics but still have a functioning physical key. If you're searching for a complete spare key fob you're gonna have to select the internal key blade add-on when placing your order.
For some vehicles, you may also need to deactivate any existing key fobs. We offer this service as an optional addon.

For E Series BMWs with Comfort Access, for your new fob to work with Comfort Access, a remote session with our technician is required. You will need to add Comfort Access Coding and a Coding Cable (if you do not already have one) to your order.

All key fobs are made-to-order by BMW. Key replacement by VIN means each new BMW key is unique, which is why, due to BMW policies, they are strictly non-refundable and cannot be canceled or returned.
Expected delivery time varies based on your specific vehicle, its factory key type and parts availability at BMW. For common key types, delivery is typically from 10 business days of receipt of proof of ownership. If BMW is required to source additional parts for your vehicle, preparing your new key fob will take longer, up to approximately 3 weeks.
