Alpha One Tune Changer for BMW Amplifiers

Alpha One Amplifiers are capable of holding more than one tune – and that can now be easily accessible right at your fingertips! Imagine having various tunes for different occasions: something calm for the daily commute, something punchier for your favorite tracks, maybe a flatter setting for podcasts and audiobooks. 

Normally, switching between them would mean pulling out a special DSP tuning app or a laptop. However, our Alpha One Tune Changer puts that control right where your hand already is – on your radio's preset buttons. This device also allows you to adjust bass and treble on the fly, so apart from choosing between different presets, you can fine-tune it even further. 

IMPORTANT! Please note that the Tune Changer relies on programmable numeric buttons; due to this fact, it is not available for BMWs with head units that do not have any buttons or lack 1–8 buttons.

Switch Tunes Instantly 

With multiple up to three tunes loaded onto your amp and the Tune Changer installed, preset buttons 1–3 stop acting as regular station presets and instead let you choose between them. If you have fewer than three tunes loaded, the buttons you're not using simply continue to work as normal radio presets.

Real-Time Bass & Treble Adjustment

Cycle through three bass and treble levels (-3dB, 0dB, +3dB) at will with the preset buttons 4 and 5. The difference is easy to identify by ear right away, so you can match the sound to the moment – a mellower tune for a calm drive, a livelier one when your favorite song comes on. 

Setting the Alpha One Tune Changer up is not a difficult task, but for pre-MGU head unit cars it will require repinning of certain connectors to enable proper CAN connection. After the device is installed, a quick configuration with the DSP software is required.

The Alpha One Tune Changer kit contains:

• Tune Changer module
• Main harness
• CANbus harness

For MGU-equipped BMWs, installation is plug-and-play – the kit's connectors plug directly into your car's existing harness. For pre-MGU BMWs, installation requires repinning of certain connectors (a full repinning guide will be included with your kit). 

Due to the nature of the tune changer, it is currently unavailable for head units without any buttons or no 1–8 preset buttons.
