Latest MINI Connected interface

The latest MINI Connected interface is clean and modern, and much easier to navigate. And the addition of live widgets makes it easier to bring what matters to you to the front and center.

Improved digital services mean you can also integrate your vehicle with Amazon Alexa through the MINI App. Use your voice to listen to music, shop and control your smart home, on the go. The onboard MINI apps have also been brushed up, making it easier to find weather and more on your Connected screen.

Full-screen CarPlay

For vehicles that already support Apple CarPlay, the latest MINI Connected software also makes it possible to unlock full-screen CarPlay. Use your favorite iOS apps across your whole MINI display, to make it easier to see maps, messages and more.

Software update

A software update may also be needed when installing some new software or hardware which is only supposed to work with the latest software versions. Please verify that you do not already have the latest software installed in your vehicle before purchasing.

MINI Connected software update 2025 is performed via a remote session and takes up to 1h. After you complete your order, we will send you a coding cable (if you add it in the top section). Once you receive it, you will be able to schedule a coding session for the time that suits you best.

During the BMW or MINI iDrive software update, the technician remotely uploads a new software version designed and developed by BMW, meaning no third-party or BimmerTech software is involved. Thus, BimmerTech doesn’t take responsibility for any changes to your vehicle's features or other issues after the software update.

Your MINI Connected software is updated through a remote cable session. It is a very simple process that takes around an hour. After you complete your order, we send you a coding cable (if you don't have one and add it in the top Option section). Once you receive it, you will be able to schedule a remote session for the time that suits you best. During the session, just plug in the cable, follow the instructions from our technician and your iDrive software will be updated. The car must be connected to a battery charger with the current kept at 15A minimum for the duration of the session.

To complete the session, you will require a Windows PC.
