10.25'' iDrive Screen Adapter for 3/4 Series F3x

Let’s be real for a second: size matters. At least, as far as the BMW iDrive screen is concerned. There’s no getting around the fact that a bigger dashboard display isn’t just safer and easier to use, but looks downright better. Add in the fact that the big screens in the latest models also pack touchscreen capabilities, and it’s clear the older tech has its best days behind it.

The only problem is the dashboard of the BMW F3x (F30/F32) 3/4 Series and F8x (F80/F82) M3/M4 was only built to accommodate the 6-inch or 8.8-inch screens. That means the 10.25-inch touchscreens from later generation BMWs can’t be fitted straight to the dashboard.

This adapter is a perfect bridge between the BMW F3x/F8x dashboard and the touchscreen from the BMW G30 5 Series (sold separately). Sitting between the two, it allows mounting a 10.25-inch touchscreen in vehicles that never had such an expansive screen on offer from the factory.

If you don’t already have one, you can optionally add a compatible screen to your order – you can choose between 1440x540 and 1920x720 versions, both in the same 10.25-inch display size. Additionally, if you opt for the higher-resolution variant, we’ll be able to provide you with the special coding required for the screen to work in your BMW.

Please note that the screens are refurbished and are likely to show some signs of use, but will be in very good condition and in full working order.

After installation, your iDrive must be optimized for the larger touchscreen display. When buying the screen from us, a remote coding session with our technician is included in the price of the retrofit.

The iDrive screen adapter installation process takes up to 1 hour. You will need to disassemble the top trim under the screen and remove the vents. After trim removal, you will have to unscrew the factory iDrive screen. Finally, install the adapter and upgraded display, attaching the associated wiring.

After the physical installation of your navigation screen replacement, you will need to have your iDrive coded. Coding is included in the price of the retrofit when buying the screen from us. You will require a coding cable, which you can add at the top of the page if you don't have one.
