The installation of the BMW Extra Seat Functions Operating Unit is pretty straightforward and shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes to complete. No door trim removal is necessary; you’ll just need to pry the old switch assembly out and reinstall the new one in its place. You might find the BimmerTech DIY Essentials kit very useful for this.
Please note that in the case of a BMW 5-Series retrofit, an activation coding will be required after the installation process.
