We are very proud to introduce our final piece of the BMW sound system puzzle: the Alpha One SUB10 BMW Subwoofer Upgrade! Designed by audio lovers—who also happen to be multiple car audio competition winners—the Alpha One SUB10 is the best way for you to boost your bass without making it obnoxious.
It’s simple: our subwoofer is optimized to seamlessly reinforce the lowest octaves, through the means of extra low-end power that is presented on time with the kick-bass from your front woofers. That’s how we provide you with the most well-balanced, natural bass boost. Every little design element of the SUB10 has been painstakingly thought through with the ultimate goal of bringing a beautiful, excellent sounding universal enclosure to our clients. Read more
At the bottom rear of the subwoofer enclosure is where all the magic happens – right there we neatly hid a 900 W RMS capable single channel Alpha One Monoblock Amplifier powering the 10” subwoofer driver. Right around the amp you’ll see the quick disconnects for both power cables remote in and of course an RCA cable that are all supplied with the SUB10 kit.
Due to its compact nature, the Alpha One SUB10 fits neatly into your trunk, visually enhancing the empty compartment. Should you need some extra storage space, the subwoofer’s enclosure comes with a quick disconnect feature, allowing you to easily remove it whenever you want. Hide
Bonnie to our DSP amp’s Clyde, the SUB10 has been designed as the final step of your audio enhancement journey. We just know that our subwoofer upgrade will work excellently with our Alpha One DSP amps that you already have and frankly need to connect the sub to it.
The SUB10... Read more cannot be used without our Alpha One DSP amp being installed prior or at the same time, as without the DSP it would be impossible to tune it in properly and accurately. DSP tuning is the secret ingredient with which our audio engineers make the trunk sub reinforce the deep bass in a way where you will never be able to tell where the bass is coming from when delivering the thunder.
It won’t be “delayed” either. If you’ve ever listened to a trunk sub that was slap-job installed, even if it was from a quality manufacturer, but not tuned in with DSP, chances are you heard bass that was half a beat late to the front system. The bass would still be reinforced, but when it doesn’t arrive on time, it gets tiring after a while and we don’t stand for that. Hide
…Because you won’t find them in our Alpha One SUB10 Subwoofer. The SUB10 is all about sound quality performance and the extra 300 W of low-end power.
From our experience, Read more300 W of power will still moderately shake your rearview mirror, with its ultimate purpose being sound quality, seamless bass integration and listening to recordings as they were produced without losing any deep bass information. And that it does perfectly.
It’s refined, just like your BMW sound system and musical taste. Hide
If you’re mechanically inclined or into DIY, or you’ve already completed some installs of other Alpha One upgrades, you’ll knock the installation of our SUB10 in less than an hour! Most of that time will be needed for some trim removal and plug-and-play wiring. There will be no wires to cut and no visual changes to your cabin. Other than the elegant subwoofer taking up some of your trunk space!
In most cases, you’ll have the subwoofer working in 4 easy steps:
Remove the
necessary trim panels.
Load a new DSP
tune to your
Alpha One amp
Connect your
SUB10 subwoofer.
Reinstall the
trim.

[[cr.date | dateFormat]]The Alpha One SUB10 Subwoofers are a marked step up from any other readily available BMW subwoofer on the market. They provide a refined, 300 W bass reinforcement for the low end, focusing on the highest quality performance.
No and even if you did, our Alpha One Amplifier upgrade would still be required. We can only guarantee the optimum performance of our SUB10 only in conjunction with the DSP of our amps. The DSP tuning is how our BMW trunk subwoofer reinforces the deep bass in such a perfect way that makes it impossible to tell where it's coming from.
No, the SUB10 can only be used with Alpha One Amplifiers. While we cannot provide technical support for other manufacturers’ amps, we can guarantee the highest possible quality of sound and bass in conjunction with our amplifiers.
We have published specifications for our subwoofer on our website in the “Specification” section to make it easy to understand what it offers.
Some people use the names woofer and subwoofer interchangeably.
We try to stick to calling the under seat speakers in BMW’s woofers. Woofers are great at reproducing kick-bass and quite capable at delivering significant amounts of low bass within their power handling capabilities – until they run out of it.
Upgraded woofers will deliver truly surprising amounts of bass often near what a medium power output subwoofer will and will be more than enough for most. However they will never be able to reproduce a really deep bass note as accurately and clearly as a true subwoofer will regardless if the bass will be from a synth or exceptionally recorded unplugged jazz trio.
In short: underseat woofers and subwoofers serve different purposes. For most of our customers upgraded under-seat woofers get the job done really well while on the other hand highly demanding audiophiles will always be looking for the extra edge and that’s where our trunk sub fills in the gap.
Since our SUB10 BMW subwoofer was designed and optimized to function with our Alpha One Amplifier, you will have to install the amp before connecting the sub to the sound system.
A passive subwoofer is a low frequency speaker installed in an enclosure. It will usually have speaker cable input terminals on the enclosure. These require a separate amplifier with power, signal, remote cables and connects to the subwoofer with speaker cables
An active subwoofer is also a speaker in an enclosure that also has an amplifier built into the enclosure so that all the cables connect directly to it.
