Our competent technician will program your CIC retrofit to match the configuration of your BMW, which will make trips in your car much more enjoyable. Please note that you must already have installed a complete CIC retrofit, including connecting a USB port to your iDrive unit, before activating your hardware. This product does not include any hardware. If you are unsure whether you have installed all the required components, please contact us.

CIC Software Activation is performed through a remote coding session with a dedicated BimmerTech technician after all the iDrive auto parts are installed.

BMW navigation update of your new CIC retrofit is a very simple process that takes no more than 30 minutes. After you complete your order, we send you a coding cable (only if you don't have one and you add it in the top Option section).  Once you receive it, there will be instructions on how to prepare and schedule a coding session for the time that suits you best. During the session, you just plug in the cable and follow the instructions from our technician.

To prepare for your BMW iDrive update coding session you will need a laptop running Microsoft Windows and a WiFi internet network that you can connect to in your car. A Mac computer running Windows might not work with some E-Series cars. The coding cable must be plugged into your laptop’s USB port.
