What is your return/cancellation policy?
All our retrofits are custom made/prepared for each customer based on the VIN provided in the order. Furthermore, some of our retrofits require a VIN-specific activation code which cannot be used with any vehicle other than the one the code was ordered for. This makes all sales final and non-returnable.
However, if the order has not been processed it can be cancelled and full refund will be issued. If you wish to cancel your order please send us an email with your order number and we will confirm if it is possible.
Refunds will be done only through the Original Mode of Payment.
What is the warranty on your products?
All brand new products purchased from BimmerTech are covered by a limited 1-year warranty except audio amplifiers that come with a limited 2-year warranty. If a product is sold as used it is covered by a limited 3-month warranty.
You advertise on your website that shipping is free, but I received a bill from DHL. Why?
All our prices include shipping and there is no extra shipping cost for our customers regardless of where they are located. However, in some countries DHL serves as a customs agency and they are responsible for collecting duties and/or taxes on behalf of the customs authorities. This is why you may receive a bill from DHL to settle such fees.
Will installing a BimmerTech kit invalidate my BMW’s warranty?
No, it won’t void your warranty, but every country has its own local regulations. In the United States, for example, the Federal Trade Commission says you don’t have to have your BMW dealer do all your repairs or improvements in order to keep your warranty intact. You are able to use any independent repair shop of your choice and can even do repairs and upgrades yourself using OEM, aftermarket, or even recycled or rebuilt parts. The Office of Fair Trading introduced a code that basically means the same thing for the European market. You can read more about the SMMT vehicle codes that protect UK consumers here.
Now, if you install something improperly or use a defective part and it directly causes damage to your vehicle, that repair will likely no longer be covered. The rest of the warranty should still remain intact, though. Of course, no matter where you live in the world, we recommend you read your warranty carefully so you understand how to maintain your rights and coverage.
