We add the Spotify and Pandora iOS apps to your iDrive system so that you won’t need to glance at your iPhone screen every time you want to change song. Just use the iDrive controller instead.
Using requires the BMW ConnectedDrive app. Please note that BMW has discontinued the ConnectedDrive app and no longer supports the majority of apps on the BMW Apps platform, including messaging and navigation. To use apps other than Spotify and Pandora, we would always recommend activating CarPlay in your BMW instead.
In many newer vehicles, you can activate BMW Apple CarPlay via cable or USB, and in older vehicles, BimmerTech’s CarPlay / Android Auto MMI Prime retrofit is the best way to use your favorite phone apps through the BMW iDrive system.
